St. Mary's College & Towson University Bachelors to Graduate Program 

The Program: Students submitting this form are applying for the St. Mary’s College of Maryland & Towson University Graduate Pathway Program offered via agreement between St. Mary’s College of Maryland (SMCM) & Towson University (TU). Students accepted into this program are guaranteed admission to the Towson University graduate programs listed in this application and are eligible for a Towson University graduate admission application fee waiver. Out-of-state students accepted into the Program, and who maintain continuous enrollment at Towson University, will receive a 30% discount on tuition.

Program Eligibility Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program at SMCM.
  • Have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or greater for credits completed at SMCM at the time of application to the Program, typically the last semester before graduation from SMCM.
    • A cumulative GPA of 3.5 or greater at the time of application to the Program for the following participating Towson University graduate programs:
      • Computer Science MS
      • Human Resource Development MS
      • Professional Writing MS
  • Have completed graduate degree specific prerequisite courses listed on the respective TU graduate program’s admissions requirements webpage.
  • Complete an Acknowledgement Form upon admission into the Program, to express intent to enroll in a graduate program at TU.
  • Complete an informational interview with the respective Towson University graduate program director upon acceptance into the Program.
  • Submit an application for Graduate Admission to their graduate program at Towson University within two (2) years of Program acceptance.
  • Matriculate and enroll into one of the graduate programs listed in this application within one (1) year of the completion undergraduate program at SMCM.
  • Refrain from attending another institution of higher education while participating in the Program. Any student who attends another institution of higher education while participating in the Program will terminate their participation in the Program. Any student who attends another institution of higher education either during attendance at or after graduation from SMCM forfeits the benefits of the Program and must go through the normal graduate admission process.
