Certified Clinical Medical Assistant Program Pre-Enrollment Application

Thank you for your interest in our Certified Clinical Medical Assistant program. In this form, you will acknowledge the steps associated with the pre-enrollment phase, enrollment phase, and program requirements. Once you have acknowledged those items, you will complete the application form and provide payment. You will receive a copy of your responses and a confirmation email once you have submitted your pre-enrollment fee.

Pre-Enrollment Phase

The pre-enrollment phase will begin once you submit your application fee of $200. This fee is non-refundable. You must complete your pre-enrollment tasks to move on to the enrollment phase. Below, you will find information on your tasks. Additional information and instructions will be emailed once your payment has been submitted, including details about the mandatory pre-class orientation.

CastleBranch Tasks

  • Background Check - The process will begin once you create an account in CastleBranch.
  • Drug Test - This is a basic urine panel. Bring water with you and be prepared to give a sample.
  • Submit your vaccine documentation or a blood test showing immunity. History of disease reports are not eligible.
    • Varicella (Chicken Pox)
    • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, & Rubella (MMR)
    • Hepatitis B
    • Influenza (Flu) - This requirement is waived for students enrolling for cohorts starting between July and September.)
    • Covid
    • Tuberculosis (TB) - This is a one-step skin test that can be read after 2-3 days. Blood tests may also be accepted.
    • Proof of health insurance - Your insurance must cover you through the duration of your externship (approximately two to three months after the clinical sessions end).

Complete your pre-enrollment tasks and application at least two weeks before the course starts.

Enrollment Phase

Once you complete the pre-enrollment phase, you may begin the enrollment phase. You will have the option to pay in full or select a payment plan. Below, you will find information about these options. Additional information and instructions will be emailed once you complete the pre-enrollment phase.

Tuition Payment

Individuals may pay in full using a credit card or take advantage of our tuition payment plans which enables students to break down tuition throughout the duration of the course. All plans require that the first payment be made prior to the course start date in order for students to be fully enrolled and attend class. The total number of payments will vary depending on when a payment plans begins and with the final payment due at least seven business days prior to the course end date. You will receive access to Blackboard and your course materials one week before the first day of class.

Program Requirements

To receive a certification of completion, students must successfully participate in the following:

Clinical Sessions

  • 12 weeks - two 3-hour sessions per week OR one 6-hour session per week
  • 6 weeks - two 6-hour sessions per week
  • Students must satisfy the 80% attendance requirement to successfully complete the clinical portion of the course.

Self-Paced Learning

  • Estimated 286 hours in the NHA learning management system.
  • All modules must be completed in NHA prior to starting your externship.
