The Young Alumni Advisory Council (YAAC) for Towson University's College of Business and Economics is seeking passionate young alums of the past 10 years to support the college with their brainpower and advocacy.
We are an active group with projects that require engagement and time to be successful. Because of this, members who have been effective in the group have been self-starters with solid time-management and communication skills. New members from all professions aligned with the CBE are welcomed to apply.
YAAC Member Roles, Goals, and Expectations
Council Member Qualifications
- Graduate of TU CBE within the past 8 years
- Personal/corporate alignment with the departments/disciplines within CBE (i.e. accounting, finance, supply chain management, human resources, marketing, etc.)
- Strong personal network to help future recruitment, fundraising, and corporate involvement in TU activities
Council Member Goals
- Develop and implement strategies to help the college increase alumni engagement and enhance the alumni experience
- Support the enhancement of the TU CBE student experience
- Provide the College and the CBE Advisory Board with feedback and insight as recent graduates on strategic initiatives
Council Member Expectations
- Participate in no fewer than 6 virtual meetings a year
- Work closely with other members to move initiatives forward and complete action items in a timely manner
- Participate in annual summer planning day
- Annual monetary contribution of $100
Membership Term Length
- 2 Years
- Option to renew at the end of first term
